  • About Eintracht Frankfurt
    Eintracht (also known as Eintracht Frankfurt) is a German football club based in Frankfurt, Eintracht football team plays in the German Bundesliga. Eintracht was founded in 1911 when two local football teams merge into one. Eintracht won the German Cup in 1974, 1975, 1981, and 1988. In 1980, Eintracht also took the UEFA Cup over Borussia M?nchengladbach.

    In 1963, when the German Bundesliga was formed, Eintracht was one of the 16 teams selected to play in it and remained there for 33 seasons while finishing in the top half of the table more often than in the lower half. In 1992, Eintracht ended just two points back of champion. As of 2007, Eintracht has over 10,000,000 fans in Germany. In 2008-09 Eintracht had the 20th highest attendance in Europe, more than other prominent clubs like Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.

    From 1997 to 2005, Eintracht kept bouncing between the first and second divisions but in the 2005-2006 season, Eintracht finished the Bundesliga season in 14th place and was safe from relegation. In the 2006-2007 season, Eintracht secured its place in the Bundesliga again on the 33rd day.
